-Please tell us brief information about you and your brand
We Started in 2007 the brand Stereotypes with Demna Gvasalia for Tokyo fashion week, I started own brand at 2009 in Antwerp
-Tell us about your latest collection.
I am working now on collection for Mango Fashion Awards 3rd edition
-How did you get into fashion in the first place?
I was playing with buttons when I was little which my Mom was collecting
-How did you come to establish the label?
I decided to do it cause I had a feeling I am ready
-What does Antwerp mean to you and what sort of influence has it had on your creations?
Antwerp is perfect place for work, unfortunately my friends left the city, we studied together in fashion academy-the great place uniting young creative people, I am a part of Antwerp school still.
-Do you see Crimean roots in your design?
Russian roots maybe: I like winter clothes better, I am more inspired with winter collections always
-How would you describe your customer?
Somebody who is trusting his own taste and feelings, somebody simply wearing my clothes
-Is there any artist or creators that had a strong influence of your career?
I am always inspired when I see talented people who dares to create, they can be even shoemakers or mathematics!
-How do you describe characteristic of your style which makes it difference from others?
My clothes look different on different people, they are created on the doll in 3D, so “body conscious couture”- I could call the style
-What are the sources of inspiration in your fashion design?
the human body, the music, movies, love
-How would you describe your own personal style?
I am moody, can dress very different from time to time
-Do you view fashion/graphic design as a means of expressing yourself?
absolutely, It is the way to reflect reality how you see it and your feelings about it
-What are the most important factors when you approach your work?
That people will wear it and enjoy their reflection in the mirror
-What does “fashion” and “fashion design” mean to you?
It is my try to make life more beautiful.
-How do you see your brand developing over next few years?
Selling more international, This season I start to sell in Japan in Seikatsu-Geijyutsu to have a fashion show during Paris fashion week
