新人をサポートする世界で最も有名なコンペティションのひとつであるITS#9 (International Talent Support)の最高賞であるFashion Collection of The Yearにファッションレーベル「writtenafterwards」によるより自由にファッションデザインを考える教室「ここのがっこう」アドバンスド1期生の生徒である西山　高士氏が選ばれた。ITS#9は１６、17日イタリアのトリエステで行われていた。

西山氏はファッション部門、アクセサリー部門共にRoyal College of Art, Central Saint Martines, Hogeschool Antwerpenなどの世界的に有名校が連なる中に日本からは唯一ここのがっこうの生徒が選ばれ、過去8回行われたITSにて日本の学校からノミネート、受賞者が出るのは史上初。日本人としては過去にMikio Sakabe, writtenafterwards, Taro Horiuchi, Yuima Nakazatoなどの現在東京をベースに活躍している各デザイナーが様々な賞を受賞しているがグランプリとなるCollection of The Yearを日本人が受賞したのは初の快挙となる。
