PARIS DAY 3 – 2

As you have probably gathered if you are familiar with my work, I don’t often shoot Women. More because of circumstance than choice. However, now I am working a lot more with womenswear I will have a lot more opportunity to do so. This is Bera and I liked her so much that she got her own post! She is a fitting model in the Maison Martin Margiela Paris showroom, she is also the lead singing in a rock’n'roll band ! The tattoo, her aloof, effortless coolness and the way her jet black hair hangs makes her an amazing subject. I wish I could shoot a lot more with her and maybe in the future I will!? for now…….Bera.

WILMY…..

This is why I love her…….

My Girlfriend secretly started a blog of her own this week, after a little searching I came across it, the below says it all about why this girl is one in a million !

“Oh Heck!
Welcome to what seems to be my very own wishlist, wahhhaaas,
wants and whims. I’m going to look at this more of a diary of
my day to day likes, dislikes and pahs.
Having moved to London well over 3 years ago, I feel that I’ve just woken up
and figured out that in all that time, I seem to have lost all passion for t
he things that have ever been important to me, I’ve admired, or have inspired me.
That’s sounds a little drastic, it maybe is, but I’m trying to regain some of that gumption
that some maybe would say is me and my ever changing unique personality.
I don’t expect this to be followed religiously, as I do to some of my fave bloggers
(fashion toast, sea of shoes, Inside Out) and I’m not no aspiring style icon,
fashion guru or knowledge know it all, but if you have found me out there
in the mass world that is the internet, then please, do enjoy.”

PARIS DAY 2

I couldn’t resist the chance to go for an early morning run whilst I was here in Paris, as we were staying so close to Le Lurve I ran through the gardens and down along by the Seine. Such a beautiful city, so much calmer than London.

Today we are off to see shows by Issey Miyake, Rick Owens, Dries Van Noten and Yohji Yamamoto, extremely excited and will post the days events when I get back to the room tonight.

127 Hours

It’s not that often that you venture to the cinema knowing everything your about to watch, however, last night I went to see Danny Boyles new film 127 Hours and did just that. Although a very simple script and story the way Danny Boyle films and directs this movie is GENIUS ! 1 man, 1 location for 90 minutes but the film is exciting and exhilarating and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through.
Aron Ralston (bottom 2 pictures) is the adrenaline junkie that the film is based on. He went through the real 127 hours, anyone else would not have survived, he is obviously an amazingly strong, clever and determined person. Above you can actaully see the image he took whilst he was trapped, he took a lot more and would love to see them too but I havent found them yet. A must see, especially at the cinema, brilliant.

GAGA camera glasses……

cannot wait to buy into this collaboration, even as a serious photographer these products excite me, the glasses take images every 10, 30, or 60 seconds and this could make for some awesome projects………….
