かれこれお世話になり２年近くになります

With its whimsical name and charming location on the ground floor of Carnaby Road’s ingenious Kingly Court, Marshmallow Mountain should be vintage heaven.

ヨーロッパ各地から仕入れたオリジナルのvintageの品々を取り扱っています

そのセレクトが本当に素敵で、名前からも想像出来ますが本当にLOVELYです

客層も幅広く、十代の子から５０年代６０年代にお店が扱っている様なドレスを実際に着ていたご婦人も良く足を運んで下さります

若い時を思い出しながら買い物を楽しむご婦人の横で、
最近流行のvintageスタイルに心躍らせる若者達

そんなこのお店が好きです

そして最近オーナーがイタリアに買付に行って来た事もありお店は新しい商品で賑わっています！

特に夏に向けたジュエリー、５０年代を中心にしたswim wear などは
思わずキュンってします

LONDON にお越しの際は見逃せないお店です！

This is not just your average Brick Lane selection of shitty second hand shoes ladies, this, my darlings, is vintage shoe heaven! Imagine Chanel, Dior and Charles Jourdin, all for very super reasonable prices. We also have a small but great selection of accessories, make sure you check them out too!

If you think that Brick Lane is the only place for vintage and weird and wonderful fashion finds, then you are wrong, look a little deeper and you’ll see the vintage world doesn’t begin and end in East London!

MACHINE – A

NEON O’CLOCK WORKS によって手がけられた
WINDOW DISPLAY を見る為に久しぶりに足を運びました

この SHOP MACHINE – A (元・DIGITARIA) は
2008 にこの London の中心部である SOHO に
オープンしました。地下は展示スペースになっています。オープン当初から新鋭デザイナーを数々紹介し、そして同時に数々のアーティスト
達がパフォーマンスやエキシビジョンを展開して来ました。　私もオープニングパーティーでWindow Display の中で踊らさせて貰いました。

MACHINE – A is an independent shop/gallery space which showcases emerging young fashion designers. Through an array of events , window installations and exhibitions , they create a platform where designers can express their work with a different approach.

At the moment they showcases 35 young talented fashion designers . Young independent designer who don’t compromise,who like to creat and not be created by fashion .

現在35名もの若手のデザイナーがこのshopにてショーケースを展開しています。

しばらく会っていなかったので

Matthew Stone がこの日撮った映像は公演中に投影されます

１４時間の撮影の末　本当にかっこいいものが沢山撮れてる感じでした

後は Matthew がどうに仕上げて来るかです！

今日は一ヶ月を切った CRY OUT オーストリア公演に向け毎週恒例となったリハーサルでした

去年の１１月末に多くの方の協力の下、座・高円寺にて成し遂げる事が出来た

ヨーロッパツアー皮切りとして招かれたオーストリアの donau festival
歌手の Peaches の直々の推薦で今回の壮大なプランはまたも勢いに乗って
形になりつつあります

今回は、前回の日本公演とはメンバーも変わります

W magazine に掲載された当時のメンバー３名が参加

惜しくも Musical Director / Violinist の Jordan Hunt と Diva / Performer の Anna は
時期的に他で飛び回っているので今回直接作品に参加出来ませんが、二人は
今回も Visual を担当している Matthew Stone のビデオによって別の形で作品に参加する事になっています

リハーサルも回を重ねる毎にどんどん良くなって行きます

Theo が相変わらず考えつきもしないアイディアをどんどん盛り込んで行きます

最近パフォーマンスを続ける事の意味そのものを考えてました

踊るのを辞めようかとも考えました

けど

彼らの真っ直ぐな作品に対する姿勢

痛い程に切なく美しい表現方法

自らが幸運にも手にしたギフトに感謝し、若さ故の葛藤、表舞台に立ち続ける者達の裏での苦悩、性への違和感。それら全てをその”ギフト”を使う事により己の全てをステージの上で発散する事

なんだか、彼らと出会えて、そして共にそのプロセスを通して本質から会話をする事ができ、改めて自分の存在意義を確認する事が出来ている事を今日強く感じました

そして、幸せだな。と思いました

真っ向から自分の愛する事に正直でありたいと思います

レスポンスを求める事なく、ただただ素直でありたいと思います

真っ直ぐなモノはとても強くて、且つ、美しい

LONDON に帰って来て良かった

But at least I know what I am when I am on the stage with them

I found this soooo sweet !

職場の近くを歩いていたら突如こんなものが目に飛び込んで来ました

窓から湧き出るエクステです

中を覗いてみたら 部屋一面に髪の毛！

映画「エクステ」を思い出しました

帰って来て調べたら、全部で3000mの髪の毛が二階の窓から流れ、そして
スペース内部にてインスタレーションとなっていると書かれた記事を見つけました

この小さなエキシビジョンは Alice Anderson とゆうビジュアルアーティスト／映像作家により作られたもので、悪夢の中を探検しているかのような強烈さがあります。

“少女は人形になり、血液は絵の具として使われる、胎児は糸から作られ、
家からは髪の毛が垂れている。　だけど、これは結局自分ではない誰かの悪夢。
だから、面白い。”

EAT YOUR HEART OUT – RETURNING OF THE YUPPIE

Scottee’s forward-thinking cabaret is back and we’re excited. It’s one of the few nights in town that guarantees a combination of kick-arse entertainment, formal experimentation, political engagement and two-fingers-up, poke-in-the-eye fun. Case in point: tonight’s theme, ‘The Return of the Yuppie’, including Cameron-baiting, a milk give-away and a poll on whether use of the word ‘cunt’ is acceptable on stage (previously a source of some friction between Scottee and Bird LaBird). With Ryan Styles, Nando Messias, Miss Annabel Sings, Myra Dubois, Masumi Tipsy and 100 Margaret Thatchers on the bill – plus video work, soundscapes and a twinset-and-pearls jumble sale – you know where your vote should go.

Time Out , Gardian などなどにフューチャーされた御陰もあり、チケットも完売。
当日は大盛況となりました。

いつものように様々な衣装、ヴィジュアルと毒づいたホスティングで会場は最高の
盛り上がりを見せていました。

今回は new home である Brickhouse での2010年初のEY♥O

theme が政治的であったため、かなりアグレッシブにヒートアップしていました

今までかつてないエネルギーとかつてないメス mess

これこそ Returning of the Yuppie

そして、これこそ Avant-garde キャバレー EAT YOUR HEART OUT です

He made some sculptures of imaginary creature wearing special head pieces for this project .

Main theme is that the idea of body-restraint originates from when you are a foetus.

新作公開！

今日はなんて事ない日常を書いてみます

ここ数年私はLONDONはEASTに住んでいます

マーケットや古着屋やJUNKの宝庫 BRICKLANE を２分程歩けば我が屋です

ごみごみしていて、クリエイターが集まって、イロンナ人種が混沌としていて
古いものを大切にしているけど新しいものにも敏感で。
私はEAST LONDON が好きです。
なんだか、肩の力を抜いて生けれる場所であります。

今日は今週の金曜日に迫ったショーの為に衣装ハントに行きました

衣装の倉庫。 BEYOND RETRO

倉庫みたいに大きな古着屋さんです

そして、小腹が空いたら２０年程２４時間働き続けているベーグル屋さん

地元っぽさ満点です

BRICKLANE を歩いていると確実に予定の時間に遅れる程知り合いに偶然会い続けます

それだけ、分母が大きい

少し前よりは断然観光地化されてしまったけれど、それでも地元人に愛されるマーケットですね

こうゆうイギリスの変化しながらも”変わらない姿”とゆうのは素敵です

お店で見つけたカワイ子ちゃん♥デザイナーです

髪型もメイクもとても素敵でした

話していたらすっかり仲良くなって、３０分も話し込んでしまいました

こうやって人と人とが限りなく近く、一度会ったら友達で。的な在り方も LONDON の魅力の一つですね

ここ最近 LONDON の好きな面をより一層好きになり

嫌な面がどうしようもなく耐えられない瞬間があります

ようやく住民となり客観的にこの街に馴染んだとゆう事でしょうか

前回アップさせて頂いた Neon O’clock Works とのコラボ作品に言葉を付けて

新たな要素を追加し Sayaka 氏のウェブにアップロードして頂きました

なかなかいい感じに新しい空気感が漂い始めました

見ている者を不愉快にし、またその不快感を超越する程の皮肉な笑いで盛上げる事に関していえば、このオーガナイザーの Scottee の右に出る者は居ないでしょう。

あそこまで、ビジョンが明確でそして確実に見ている者にインパクトを与え、
気付かぬうちに彼の作品そのものに組み込まれて行ってしまう、そのイベントの姿勢、そして彼のアーティストとしての勢いは凄いです。

毎月のLondonでの公演、それに今年は Brighton / Bristol に再来。
その後は Glastonbury / Edinburgh / Sheffield / Cambridge / Field Day など
各地に飛び回ります。 そして、パフォーマンスを通してクリティサイズしまくります。

私の帰って来てからの初のパフォーマンスももちろんこのイベントにて。

最近まで展示されていたphoto work by Neon O’clock works との作品を本日手に入れたので。

色々なプロジェクトを共にやらせてもらっているのですが、彼らのセンスと感性には脱帽です。

そしてその自分たちの作品に対する姿勢そのものが、魅力以上のなにものでもありません。

こうゆう作家と出会い、人として関わりあいを持つ事が出来、そして共になにかを生み出して行く事によって互いを理解して行くとゆうプロセスこそ、私が作り手で良かったな、と自分の在り方に喜びを感じる瞬間でもあります。

これからこの写真に言葉を付けてなんらかしらの形で再度発信して行くつもりです。
