hui-hui stands for a notion of astonishment, a draft of fresh air.
creativity and outspoken prints.
The label is investigating the borderlines between art and fashion,
between the coincidence and the intended.

hui-hui is founded in 2002 by Anne Schwätzler, fashiondesigner,
and the sisters Johanna and Katharina Trudzinski , fashiondesigner and
textiledesigner/ artist.

boessert/schorn

We met them back in paris, but katharina knows the designers already

from berlin.

boessert/ schorn create their own weaving in beautiful sandy colours, wearable draping and

great knitwear.

black is back at momu antwerp

yesterday was the opening of the new exhibition : zwart/ black at the fashionmuseum in antwerp.

the presentation is very graphical , clean black and white.

giving a good background for all the black silouets  of various designers.

big names as comme des garçons and ann demeulemeesterraf simons but also a piece of helena lumelsky s beautiful dark collection,outfits of gareth pughiris van herpen and historical pieces of themomu stock.

its definitely worth passing by to have a look. the uniform colours provide such a good focus for patternwork and textiles .

ra gave a party afterwards in the café, dresscode black with mysterious nearly black cocktails.

the first flowers in the garden are purple

black moon

sounds very gothic or like the forth part of the twilight series, but is a fanatastic surreal- fairytale movie from 1975 by louis malle.

a young girl trying to escape an ongoing war between the sexes ends up in a countryside  chalet with

a frightning old lady confined to the bed, a mysterious brother and sister couple who run the place,

a bunch of naked kids taking care of a huge pig and for the rest maybe more animals than in babe the movie.

not to forget the fat talking unicorn.

we are not angry at

… wut berlin.

the selectshop in tokyo features our -julian- summercollection.

looks kind of happy for a shop which calls himself  wut= anger in german.

if you are in tokyo at the moment you should definitely pass by and

pick up your hui-hui piece. you ´ll look even better than the graffitti mannequins and get a little

surprise on top.

next to us they sell mostly german designers like esther perbandt, starstyling and anntian but also japanese as written afterwards and our friendmikio.

Yann le goec the creator of wut writes his own blog as well, not only about fashion , which is quite refreshing.

heaven is a person on earth

last week we had a showroom in paris at rue charlot, together with mikio sakabe and

yuima nakazato. paris was nice, in a showroombreak

we went to see the delicate jewellery collection of  the extraordinary heaven tanudiredja

at gallerie vivienne in paris. Heavy neckpieces and bracelets in layered glass- beads attached on worn- out tulle.

it looks nearly like a 3D microscopic image.

hui-hui is founded in 2002 by Anne Schwätzler, fashiondesigner,
and the sisters Johanna and Katharina Trudzinski , fashiondesigner and
textiledesigner/ artist.
All started with no commercial ambition, as a project born
out of the love for creation, fashion- and textilewise.
During the years at the different schools, in Belgium and Germany
hui-hui grows with the knowledge and passion of the three designers
from a label which presents one collection a year in the Berlin based
showroom of the select-shop ´Apartmentstore´ , to a biseasonal
collection which is selling in Germany, Japan and the United States
and at times in Belgium and France.
During this process the approach and objective changed towards
the goal of building up a professional business structure.

hui-hui is build up around a collection theme, an atmosphere which
results from the inspiration brought up by all three designers.
Each collection has new approach with a particular emphasis on
textile treatment or a newly discovered technique from old handiwork,
a certain printing method, a and a new aesthetic without loosing the
brand recognition.
It is always an eclectic mix of the imagination of three designers with
a broad view and curiousity on the world.

Is developing for each season two to four exclusive hui-hui prints
plus two different designs for the collection signature scarfs.

The garments of hui-hui are made to last longer than one season, edgy
and independent from trends, but also through the quality of the
materials
and the good workmanship of the manufacturer.
The collection is entirely produced in Europe.
